The beeswax is an amazing natural substance that can be used to improve our lives to provide multiple benefits; Among which are the prevention of aging, its excellent emollient actions used in natural cosmetics and, in addition, it is a magnificent skin protective agent.

Properties of beeswax

Beeswax, for centuries has represented a raw material of exceptional importance for man thanks to its ease of processing and its waterproofing properties. Beeswax for these characteristics has always been used in the processing of precious metals, in particular for the creation of molds and models.

Today, beeswax is used especially for cosmetic and pharmacological purposes, but as mentioned it is also used in the food industry and can be used to clean wooden surfaces and furniture (beeswax with natural turpentine)

Beeswax is completely natural; therefore, its composition can vary, but the genus is formed around 70% of esters of waxy acids, then of hydrocarbons and fatty acids (free and derivatives), and to a much lesser extent of propolis and alcohols.

In other areas, beeswax has over time been replaced by synthetic waxes, these other waxes are cheaper, but do not have the properties of the wax produced by worker bees. A hive produces about a pound of wax for every 10 kilos of honey.
