Needed

  • Jar.
  • Salt.
  • Colored chalk.
  • Sheets of newspaper or whatever you want to reuse.

Process

  1. First of all, place a newspaper on a table, this will be your work surface.
  2. Put the salt on the paper and add a little more than the amount you want to have when you’re done.
  3. Take the chalk (the color you like) and roll over the salt, rubbing.
  4. Keep doing this until the salt turns to the color of chalk.
  5. Roll up the paper in order to keep the salt from falling on the ground and pour it into a container.
  6. Repeat this process until you have all the colors you want and then you can start creating your art project with chalk and salt.

You can use all the different colors you want and create different designs. With the dyed salt, it should be poured as shown in the image, turning the bottle to generate different effects. It is very important not to move the bottle abruptly to avoid mixing the colors.

Finally, it is convenient to fill to the top of the bottle, leaving a layer of approximately 5 millimeters to seal with hot candle wax and create a cap.
