Ingredients for the preparation of the gel

  • A dispenser.
  • Between 7 and 10 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel.
  • Lavender essential oil, about 10 to 15 drops.
  • 15 to 20 drops of tea tree oil.
  • 5 to 8 drops of eucalyptus essential oil, or essential oils that you have to give it aroma.

You can also use the following essential oils:

  • Orange – Natural antiseptic and antioxidant. It smells nice too.
  • Cinnamon – Antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial and astringent.
  • Cloves – Antimicrobial and antibacterial.
  • Rosemary – Antifungal and Antibacterial.

Making the antibacterial gel

  • Other essential oils if you like the smell.

Instructions

  1. To make this recipe, mix 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel, 1/2 teaspoon of glycerin, and 1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol in a small bowl. Add 10 drops of cinnamon essential oil and 10 drops of tea tree oil along with any other oils you wish to add for the scent (lemongrass, orange, lavender, and spearmint are good options).
  2. Mix well and add distilled water (or colloidal / ionic silver) to dilute the desired consistency and add other oils to the desired scent.
  3. Use a small funnel or medicine dropper to transfer the hand sanitizer into pump or spray type bottles.
  4. Use it as you would any other type of hand sanitizer.
